  • Devanahalli Fort

    The fort has a rich history of being associated with quite a few famous names, including Mallabairegowda, Tipu Sultan and Lord Cornwallis. Spread over an area of 20 acres, the fort has an enchanting temple, masonry, bastions and the house in which Tipu Sultan resided. It is a great place for a brief rendezvous with the city’s history.

  • Vidhana Soudha

    The seat of Karnataka’s state legislature, this building was constructed in Mysore in a Neo-Dravidian style. Truly a mélange of cultures, it incorporates the elements of Indo-Saracenic architecture as well. The foundation of this building was laid by Jawaharlal Nehru who was the first Prime Minister of India. It is the theater of all the major legislative drama of the city.

  • Cubbon Park

    Flanked by verdant pastures, Cubbon Park is a nature lover’s paradise. A serene corner away from the city’s hustle and bustle, it is known for the tranquil atmosphere. It has been named after Lord Cubbon, the founder of the park. It is home to structures such as Attara Kacheri, Bangalore Aquarium and Seshadri Iyer Memorial Hall.

  • Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace

    The construction of this palace began during the reign of Hyder Ali, Tipu Sultan’s father. It was the summer residence of Tipu Sultan. After he lost his life during the 4th Anglo-Mysore War (1799), it was used by the British Administration. Flaunting Indo-Islamic architectural elements, it is frequented by tourists from different corners of India.
